Nixer to unveil CV1 AoIP monitoring tool to address evolving demands of quality, speed, and seamless integration in varied broadcast environments

Solution offers a streamlined, speaker-free architecture to optimize integration with premium external loudspeakers and advanced loudness metering

Amsterdam, Netherlands, IBC Stand 8.F96 – August 26, 2025 – Nixer Pro Audio is debuting its CV1 at IBC 2025—an all-in-one Audio-over-IP monitoring unit designed for broadcast control rooms, production suites, recording studios and live performance workflows.

Based on Nixer’s proven RLC64 rackmount unit, the CV1 incorporates a series of enhancements following change requests from a national broadcaster, resulting in a solution that prioritises quality, speed, and integration.

The unit offers a streamlined, speaker-free architecture to optimize integration with premium external loudspeakers and dedicated loudness meters via separate AES and line outputs. It currently supports Dante, Ravenna/AES67, and ST 2110 formats, with AVB-Milan on the roadmap.

“In live broadcast operations and recording studios, sound quality during audio monitoring is paramount,” said Nick Fletcher, founder and CEO of Nixer Pro Audio. “Being able to listen to all channels through high-quality external speakers provides audio professionals with greater assurance and control.”

The CV1 also features dual headphone outputs with independent level control through precision rotary encoders and provides access to 32 stereo inputs—including 30 AoIP inputs, one AES input and one stereo line input. Instant access to all 32 inputs is available via touchscreen selection. Output control features include individual left and right channel mute, as well as a dim function with user-adjustable attenuation ranging from 0 to 30 dB.

“We’ve introduced additional purpose-built functions such as phase reverse, mono sum, dim, channel mute, and customizable monitoring trims,” Fletcher continues. “These capabilities ensure speed, precision and flexibility for mission-critical workflows by helping verify phase alignment and identify any audio anomalies.”

Optimized for efficient signal flow, CV1 supports advanced Dante, Ravenna/AES67 and ST2110 routing—developed in direct response to broadcaster requirements. The introduction of eight AoIP output channels gives users robust routing options in a wide range of audio setups. Additionally, input sources—whether AES, line-level, or AoIP—can be routed natively back into the AoIP network, eliminating the need for external format converters or additional rack-mounted infrastructure.

Source buttons can be renamed directly via the new Edit function on the main screen, while the Hold button has been relocated for improved clarity and accessibility. Additional configuration options include the ability to set the main meters to pre or post via the system menu, and to route AES output either pre or post main volume and mute controls—ideal for tailoring output behaviour to specific monitoring needs.

As distributors and integration teams begin specifying the CV1 in their projects, its feature set is already emerging as a highly sought-after solution across a diverse range of audio environments. Its adaptability is proving invaluable for sound engineers working in live broadcast and radio networks, music production, post-production, live sound reinforcement, and both fixed and remote broadcast galleries.

“The development of the CV1 represents our core philosophy: putting customers first and delivering exactly what they need,” concludes Fletcher.

As the CV1 shares its architecture with Nixer’s WL64 and RL256 platforms, optional upgrades are set to be available in 2026 that enable wireless remote AoIP monitoring via iPads and web UI—keeping operators connected even beyond the rack.

The CV1 is now in full production and shipping globally. Nixer Pro Audio invites the international broadcast community to experience its performance and capabilities first-hand at stand 8.F96 at IBC 2025.
