The CV1 is an Audio over IP (AoIP) monitoring unit based around a very compact 1RU 19” rack mounted enclosure. It has been designed for audio personnel working in live events to provide high quality audio monitoring. The front panel has a large volume knob for the main output level control and two independently controllable headphone amps each with an individual volume knob. These are high quality headphone amplifiers and capable of driving into to low impedance headphones.
On the rear panel there are two DC power inputs, a primary RJ45 AoIP port, a secondary RJ45 AoIP port and a Control port.
There are two 3 pin female XLRs for Line inputs, one 3 pin female XLR input for AES input, one 3 pin male XLR for AES Output, two 3 pin male XLRs for the main output (post the volume control and mute) and two 3 pin male XLRs for the main output (pre the volume control and mute).
The CV1 has 64 AoIP inputs configured in stereo pairs and presented on a 32 switch matrix which allows for listening to one stereo pair at a time. The CV1 units are operated and controlled via the large letterbox colour LCD and capacitive touch panel. The display brightness is programmable to allow for operation in low-light environments without distraction. Hold mode allows for listening to multiple inputs.
A simple, elegant and intuitive to navigate menu system has been designed, allowing the user quick and easy operation.
Firmware updates of the CV1 are achieved via a dedicated USB-C connector on the front panel.
The CV1 can be powered via either of the two 2.5mm DC input connectors requiring 24V @ 2A. These inputs also have a
screw lock to prevent accidental unplugging. Using two inputs provides redundancy.
The NIX00629 (purchased separately) is normally used to power the CV1.
